[1]THE [2][PAKISTAN] ARMS ORDINANCE, 1965
(W.P. commandment XX of 1965)
[8 June 1965]
An ordering to consolidate and amend the law relating to the sale, transport, bearing or obstinance of arms, ammunition or multitude stores
Preamble. WHEREAS it is expedient to consolidate the law relating to the sale, transport, bearing or possession of arms, ammunition or force stores, in the manner hereinafter appearing;
      AND WHEREAS the Provincial assemblage of western United States Pakistan is not in session and the Governor of West Pakistan is satisfied that circumstances exist which render immediate legislation necessary;
      Now, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by article (I) of Article 79 of the Constitution, the Governor of West Pakistan is pleased to figure out and promulgate the following enactment:-
CHAPTER I
PRELIMINARY
1.   Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Ordinance may be called the [3][Pakistan] Arms Ordinance, 1965.
      (2)  It extends to the whole of [4][Pakistan] except the tribal Areas.
      (3)  It shall come into force at once.
2.   Exception.



 Nothing contained in this Ordinance shall apply to
      (a)  arms, ammunition or military stores on display board any sea-going vessel and forming part of her ordinary armament or equipment; or
      (b)  the sale, transport, bearing or possession of arms, ammunition or military stores by order of the [5][Federal Government] or a Provincial Government, as the case may be, or by a reality servant or a member of any of the non-regular forces elevated or maintained by or under the government agency of the [6][Federal Government] or a Provincial Government, in the course of his certificate of indebtedness as such public servant or member.
